Histone deacetylase inhibitors as venetoclax‐sensitising partners in acute myeloid leukaemia: Mechanisms, pharmacology and translational perspectives

Abstract Venetoclax combined with hypomethylating agents has improved treatment for older or unfit patients with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but resistance and relapse remain common. This review analyses the rationale for combining venetoclax with inhibitors of histone deacetylase (HDAC).

Dental Pulp Stem Cell‐Derived Intracellular Vesicles Inhibit OSCC by Delivering PTEN to Suppress PI3K/AKT/mTOR Signalling Pathway

DPSC‐IVs suppressed PI3K/AKT/mTOR signalling pathway by delivering PTEN to tumour cells, which reduced the expression of Bcl‐2 and elevated that of Bax. Meanwhile, DPSC‐IVs activated PINK1/Parkin mediated mitophagy, which further raised ROS levels.

Olfactory Tuft Cells Are Critical to Basal Inflammation, Innate Immune Response to Viral Infection, and Modulation of Quiescent Stem Cell Activation, Proliferation and Differentiation

Olfactory tuft cells communicate with other mucosal cells in maintaining olfactory epithelial immunity and sensory function. Disruption of tuft cell signalling pathways causes a skewed immune response, leading to heightened inflammation and increased activation of the quiescent stem cells, which are further exacerbated by viral infection.
