THE ANTIGENIC PROPERTIES OF PIG INSULIN
Acta Endocrinologica, 1964ABSTRACT In the present study rabbits were immunized with insulin preparations of various degrees of purity. Antibody formation was determined by Boyden's haemagglutination method (Boyden 1951), by Berson et al.'s chromatoelectrophoresis (Berson et al.

Antigenic properties of chlorogenic acid
Journal of Allergy, 1964Abstract Rabbits sensitized to chlorogenic acid by means of intramuscular and foot pad injections with chlorogenic acid emulsified in complete Freund's adjuvant showed positive Arthus reactions to chlorogenic acid and to green coffee extract. Sera obtained from the sensitized rabbits gave positive PCA reactions to chlorogenic acid and contained ...

The antigenic property of insulin
Journal of Allergy, 1940Summary Evidence is presented that insulin is antigenic, as shown by the fact that sera from sensitized rabbits may give positive complement-fixation. Sufficient foreign protein is present in commercially prepared insulin to allow sensitization of a rabbit to that protein by repeated injections of the insulin. Antibodies produced against

Two A Antigens with Abnormal Serologic Properties
Vox Sanguinis, 1957SummaryTwo examples of a blood group A with unusual properties are described. Although the red cells contain a strong A antigen, the cells fail to agglutinate with anti‐A serum if routine tests are applied. The presence of a hidden A antigen was established by absorption and elution experiments and by the blocking test.

The antigenic properties of bacterial spores
Antonie van Leeuwenhoek, 19441°. Bacterial spores are antigenic. 2°. Spore-antigen is distinct and separate from the antigens of the bacillary forms to which the spores give rise on germination. 3°. Antigens of the spores of various kinds of spore-bearing bacilli are also mutually distinct. I am greatly indebted to Miss A.de Groot for her technical assistence.

The Antigenic Properties of Fibrinogens
The Journal of Immunology, 1931Abstract Previous publications (1) (2) from this laboratory have pointed out the inadequacy of the usual methods of blood defibrination in preparing fibrinogen-free serum and particular methods have been given by which such a serum may be obtained.

On the antigenic properties of sperm antagglutins
Experimental Cell Research, 1959Abstract 1. 1. A procedure has been developed for the detection of antibodies reacting with sperm antagglutins, using the ratio of agglutinated spermatozoa as an indicator. It is based upon the fact that only reduced antagglutins react simultaneously with the sperm cell surface and the antibodies, thereby causing agglutination of the spermatozoa.

THE ANTIGENIC PROPERTIES OF INSULIN
Journal of the American Medical Association, 1937The establishment of insulin as a complete and soluble protein1anticipated its property as an antigen. The allergic reactions that are often associated with its clinical use indicate that it is active in this respect. The greater prevalence of hypersensitivity to insulin preparations when they first began to be generally used as compared to substances ...

The antigenic properties of DNA
Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine, 1966Immunization with purified DNA preparations failed to stimulate the production of antibodies, Immunization with DNP preparations stimulated the production of antibodies to DNA. The DNA molecule is capable of stimulating the production of antibodies only when it is associated with protein.

The Antigenic Properties of Hemocyanin
The Journal of Immunology, 1920Summary Hemocyanin prepared from the circulating fluid of the abalone (Haliotis) was precipitated by ammonium sulphate within the limits found by Alsberg and Clark from Limulus polyphemus. It appears to be a globulin. The sera of rabbits immunized with this preparation of hemocyanin gave positive fixation and precipitin tests.
