Limb Compression Therapy and Chemotherapy‐Induced Peripheral Neuropathy in Women With Gynecologic Cancers: A Prospective Self‐Controlled Study(NEURO‐GLOVE Trial)

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 9, Page 2300-2313, 1 November 2026.
With no effective drug‐based prevention strategies available for chemotherapy‐induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN), research in neuroprotective approaches has grown. Of particular interest is mechanical compression, which may protect nerves by temporarily reducing blood flow during treatment. The authors here conducted a prospective trial in women with

Autoantibodies to Extracellular Erythrocyte Band 3 Epitopes Are Associated With Anemia in Plasmodium vivax Infection

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, Volume 101, Issue 10, Page 2592-2604, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Plasmodium vivax‐associated anemia is a multifactorial clinical outcome, in which the destruction of uninfected red blood cells (uRBCs) plays a major role in disease development and severity. Here, we identified autoantibody targets within the extracellular loops of Band 3 (B3), a major erythrocyte transmembrane protein.

Mucosal‐Associated Invariant T Cells in Health and Disease

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2026.
The roles of MAIT cells in health and disease and their therapeutic applications. In healthy individuals, riboflavin metabolites secreted by commensal bacteria at mucosal sites are presented by MR1, leading to the activation of MAIT cells. Activated MAIT cells can maintain the barrier integrity of mucosal tissues in a steady state or migrate to the ...

Immune Interactions Unique to Intradermal Microtoxin: Insights From Aesthetic, Therapeutic, and Vaccination Studies

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 25, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Intradermal botulinum toxin type A (BoNT‐A; microtoxin) has been shown to improve skin texture, superficial rhytides, and sweat/sebaceous activity through neuronal (cholinergic) and non‐neuronal pathways. While discussions around immune system interactions for BoNT‐A in aesthetic indications exist for intramuscular injection, the ...

Estimating the Fraction of Hepatocellular Carcinoma and Decompensated Cirrhosis Attributable to Viral Hepatitis in England Using Electronic Health Records and Case‐Notes Review

open access: yesJournal of Viral Hepatitis, Volume 33, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Viral hepatitis mortality is an impact target required to evidence the elimination of viral hepatitis with a combined mortality rate of less than or equal to six deaths per 100,000 population. Within England, routine healthcare data linked with death registrations are used; however, where these data are not available, the World Health ...

Epidemiology of Canine Cutaneous Histiocytoma: Insights From Age and Topographic Clustering

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 37, Issue 5, Page 780-787, October 2026.
Background: Canine cutaneous histiocytoma (CCH) is a benign Langerhans‐cell tumour that often regresses spontaneously via inflammation. Objectives: To estimate incidence and characterise age and breed–anatomical‐site patterns using two complementary clustering analyses.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, Volume 600, Issue 17, Page 2564-2578, September 2026.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 9, Page 2262-2279, September 2026.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.
