Human leukocyte differentiation antigens as therapeutic targets: the CD molecules and CD antibodies

Expert Opinion on Biological Therapy, 2001
The cell membrane presents an attractive target in a number of different disease situations. Most obviously, malignant cells may be killed by damaging their cell membranes. There are also more subtle, though effective, ways of rendering cells harmless by engaging proteins at the cell surface.

CD 15 Antigen in Hodgkin's Disease

Pathology - Research and Practice, 1989
A retrospective analysis of 117 cases of Hodgkin's disease treated at the Centre G.F. Leclerc between 1976 and 1985 was performed with three objectives: 1): to re-evaluate the histologic subtype by the Lukes-Rye classification according to recent data; 2): to demonstrate the frequency of CD 15 antigen by an indirect, three stage immunoperoxidase ...

The Application of CD Antigen Proteomics to Pharmacogenomics

Pharmacogenomics, 2006
The advent of multiplexing technologies has raised the possibility that disease states can be defined using discrete genomic and proteomic patterns or signatures. However, this emerging area has been limited by the 'content problem', arising from the uncertainty of which molecules to focus on.

HLA antigen frequencies in familial Crohn's disease (CD).

Beitrage zur Infusionstherapie = Contributions to infusion therapy, 1991
A possible association of Crohn's disease (CD) with MHC (major histocompatibility complex) markers was investigated in families with more than one affected member. HLA-A, B, C, DR and DQ typing was performed in 21 CD families with two or more CD patients. The following HLA-antigens showed increased relative risk (RR) values for CD: B44 (RR = 2.43; B15 (

CD Antigens (Soluble)

1995
The CD antigens are a widespread family of cell surface glycoproteins which serve as differentiation markers for most cell types. They subserve a variety of functions including those of receptors for MHC recognition, antibody, complement and cytokines.

[Differentiation antigens of hematopoietic cells (CD system)].

Bratislavske lekarske listy, 1993
Monoclonal antibodies allowed recognition and identification of a series of hematopoietic cell membrane antigens expressed on plasma membranes of leukemia patients and on cells of healthy subjects. Monoclonal antibodies produced in different laboratories were clustered on the basis of their reactivity with normal and malignant hematopoietic cells into ...

ROLE OF H-2 CD ANTIGENS IN SECONDARY RESPONSES

1977
Publisher Summary This chapter explores the role of H-2 CD antigens in secondary responses. Treatment of spleen cell suspension with UV light has been shown to selectively modify cell-surface antigens in a way that the cells are unable, after treatment, to elicit a proliferative response when used in a one-way MLC as stimulating cells.
