Engineering Human Donor Derived Germinal Center‐Like Organoids (GCLOs) for Studying Immune Response to Vaccination

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We bioengineered a new approach methodology of generating Germinal Center Organoids that self‐organize from human blood‐derived immune cells. These immune organoids reproduce key features of humoral immunity, IgG production, and plasmablast emergence.

CD19-negative relapse after CAR-T cell therapy: mechanisms of antigen escape and lineage switch

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
CD19 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy has transformed the treatment of relapsed/refractory B-cell malignancies, achieving high remission rates. Nonetheless, 20%-40% of patients eventually relapse, classified as either CD19+ or CD19− relapse.

Targeting antigen to CD19 on B cells efficiently activates T cells [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Immunology, 2005
CD19 is a B cell-surface molecule that participates as an important regulatory signaling complex for antigen bound at the surface by Ig. Triggering of CD19 through its linkage with CD21 amplifies signals transduced through the Src family kinases and modulates B cell differentiation in response to antigen.

Targeting the ATX‐LPA Axis Overcomes TKI Resistance and Immunosuppression in Renal Cell Carcinoma via Dual Inhibition of AKT/mTOR and TBK1/IRF3 Pathways

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic resistance limits durable survival in advanced/metastatic renal cell carcinoma (RCC) treated with first‐line tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) plus immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI). We sought to define key resistance drivers and actionable targets.

Serodiagnosis of Echinococcus spp. infection: explorative selection of diagnostic antigens by peptide microarray [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
BACKGROUND: Production of native antigens for serodiagnosis of helminthic infections is laborious and hampered by batch-to-batch variation. For serodiagnosis of echinococcosis, especially cystic disease, most screening tests rely on crude or purified ...

Sustained Delivery of a Shingles Subunit Vaccine Overcomes Age‐Related Declines in Humoral and Cellular Immunity Relative to Shingrix

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sustained delivery of a shingles subunit vaccine from an injectable polymer–nanoparticle hydrogel enhanced the potency, durability, and breadth of immune responses in aged mice while minimizing inflammatory cytokine production and reactogenicity. This strategy decouples immunogenicity from reactogenicity and offers a promising approach to improve ...

Development of specific nanobodies (VHH) for CD19 immuno-targeting of human B-lymphocytes [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Basic Medical Sciences, 2018
Objective(s): CD19 is a transmembrane glycoprotein of immunoglobulin superfamily. In order to treat lymphoma, monoclonal antibodies (mAb) can target different antigens, including CD19, CD20 and CD22 on the surface of B-cells.

Table_1_Probiotic Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG Induces Alterations in Ileal Microbiota With Associated CD3-CD19-T-bet+IFNγ+/- Cell Subset Homeostasis in Pigs Challenged With Salmonella enterica Serovar 4,[5],12:i:-.DOC

open access: yes, 2019
Salmonella enterica serovar 4,[5],12:i:- (S. 4,[5],12:i:-) is an emerging foodborne pathogen causing salmonellosis in humans and animals. Probiotic Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) is an effective strategy for controlling enteric infections through ...

SOX5 Orchestrates Malignant Evolution via Promoter‐Centric Chromatin Remodeling in MYC‐Driven B‐Cell Lymphoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In MYC‐enforced B‐cell lymphoma, SOX5 occupies promoter‐proximal regulatory regions and is associated with reduced chromatin accessibility at the PCNP locus. PCNP repression promotes proliferative remodeling by limiting apoptosis and cell‐cycle restraint.

Preclinical development of three novel CARs targeting CD79b for the treatment of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and characterization of the loss of the target antigen

open access: yesJournal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer
Background Infusion of T cells modified with a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting CD19 has achieved exceptional responses in patients with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL), which led to the approval of CAR targeting CD19 (CART19) (Axi-cel and Liso-cel)
