A monoclonal antibody (MMA) thet identifies a differentiation antigen on human myelomonocytic cells
Clinical Immunology and Immunopathology, 1982Abstract A monoclonal IgMκ antibody (MMA) was produced against the human histocytic cell line, U-937. This antibody reacted by indirect immunofluorescence and complement-mediated lysis with adherent mononuclear cells and granulocytes. MMA was unreactive with circulating T and B cells, erythrocytes, and platelets.

The immunological definition of malignant lymphatic cells has already been routinely applied by many laboratories over a number of years. Today it is clear and undisputed that the phenotypic data obtained in that way are often very useful and supporting. The immunological definition of non-lymphoid leukemias is not yet as far advanced.

Murine monoclonal antibodies to human myeloid cell surface differentiation antigens were prepared using the myelomonocytic leukemia cell line RC-2A as immunogen. Using a highly sensitive colorimetric assay, antibodies were selected as myeloid-associated based on their binding to RC-2A cells, but not to cells of the autologous EBV-transformed* B cell ...

Differential expression of HLA‐DR and HLA‐DQ antigens on normal cells of the myelomonocytic lineage
Tissue Antigens, 1985We have previously shown that HLA‐class II antigens have a differential expression on acute myeloblastic leukaemia (AML) blasts. These cells express HLA‐DR molecules but the HLA‐DQ antigens are undetectable. In this paper we study the expression of HLA‐DR and HLA‐DQ antigens, using monoclonal antibodies (MoAbs), on normal cells of the myelomonocytic ...

Biochemical and functional aspects as well as features of cellular distribution of the differentiation groups CD11a and CD18 were studied in the course of a detailed characterization of two new monoclonal antibodies which recognize the alpha (GRS3) and beta (GRF1) chains of the LFA-1 antigen.

Human Myelomonocytic Differentiation Antigens Defined by Monoclonal Antibodies
1984With the advent of monoclonal technology, it has been possible to define surface membrane markers which discriminate among subpopulations of lymphoid and myeloid cells that relate to both ontogeny and functional heterogeneity. With reference to the myelomonocytic lineage, the efforts of several laboratories have resulted in the development of ...

The human myeloid nuclear differentiation antigen (MNDA) is expressed specifically in maturing cells of the myelomonocytic lineage and in monocytes and granulocytes. Epitope enhancement was used to confirm the strict lineage- and stage-specific expression of MNDA in bone marrow as well as in other paraffin-embedded fixed tissues.
