Influence of exogenous abscisic acid on physiological responses of Dendrobium candidum under drought stress [PDF]

open access: yesActa Botânica Brasílica
: Abscisic acid (ABA) is a naturally occurring plant hormone, and it is also a known stress hormone that acts in plant responses to abiotic stresses, especially drought. Dendrobium candidum production losses due to drought have prominent economic effects.

Relation between Discoloration and Antioxidizing Ability of Radical Accepting Type Antioxidants

open access: yesThe Journal of the Society of Chemical Industry, Japan, 1968

Antioxidants Inhibit the Ability of Lysophosphatidylcholine to Regulate Proteoglycan Synthesis [PDF]

open access: yesArteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology, 2006
Objective— We previously have shown that lysophosphatidylcholine (lysoPC) regulates proteoglycan synthesis by vascular smooth muscle cells (SMCs). Given the accumulating evidence for reactive oxygen species (ROS) as mediators of a variety of effects of lysoPC, the present study evaluates the ...
