Impaired Cellular Immunity and Cross‐Reactive Humoral Responses to Mpox Virus in HIV‐Infected Individuals Vaccinated with Vaccinia Virus Tiantan Strain

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 12, December 2025.
This study examines MPXV immunity in PLWH, focusing on smallpox vaccine‐induced responses. PLWH with CD4⁺ T‐cell counts <500 cells/mm3 showed reduced VTT‐IgG, MPXV‐IgG, and NAbs, while CD4⁺ T‐cell responses were impaired at counts <350 cells/mm3. CD8⁺ T‐cell responses remained stable.

Contributions of 2‐h post‐load glucose, fasting blood glucose and glycosylated haemoglobin elevations to the prevalence of diabetes and pre‐diabetes in adults: A systematic analysis of global data

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 27, Issue 12, Page 7285-7298, December 2025.
Abstract Aims Some studies found that the association of fasting blood glucose (FPG) or glycosylated haemoglobin (HbA1c) elevation with diabetic complications was not statistically significant after controlling for the confounding caused by 2‐h post‐load glucose (2hPG) elevation.

Comparable 5‐Year Survival in People With and Without HIV Following Hepatocellular Carcinoma Diagnosis: A Multicenter Study

open access: yesLiver International, Volume 45, Issue 12, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Conflicting data on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) survival in people with HIV (PWH) may depend on tumour aggressiveness and access to curative treatments. We compared outcomes of two HCC cohorts according to HIV status.
