ABSTRACT Neonatal limb gangrene with auto‐amputation is rare and often idiopathic. Early recognition, prompt referral, and thorough etiologic workup—despite resource limitations—are critical. Wet gangrene requires broad‐spectrum antibiotics, wound care, and timely surgical amputation to preserve growth plates and allow future prosthesis fitting.

ABSTRACT Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a chronic immune‐mediated inflammatory arthropathy primarily affecting the axial skeleton but may involve peripheral joints, particularly the hips. Avascular necrosis (AVN) of the femoral head represents a severe, underrecognized complication whose pathogenesis in AS is multifactorial—encompassing disease ...

Heparin-antithrombin III binding. In vitro and in vivo studies
Heparin antithrombin III binding was studied by crossed immunoelectrophoresis. In plasma and purified antithrombin III standard, multicomponent patterns were obtained with low concentrations of mucosal heparin. There is evidence that antithrombin III may

ABSTRACT Post‐dengue cerebral venous sinus thrombosis is an uncommon complication of dengue fever. It occurs due to a prothrombotic shift during the recovery or critical phase of dengue fever, presenting usually as a persistent headache. Prompt neuroimaging and anticoagulation are crucial to a favorable prognosis, even in the presence of hemorrhagic ...

The in vivo regulation of coagulation is mainly controlled by plasma inhibitors in which antithrombin III (AT III) plays an importance role. AT III is a glycoprotein which inhibits all serine proteases, except factor, VIIa, generated during the coagulation process. The proteases are inactivated by formation of an equimolecular complex and this reaction

Antithrombin III inhibits thrombin-induced proliferation in human arterial smooth muscle cells.
Thrombin has attracted increasing attention as a possible mitogen for vascular smooth muscle cells in lesion development both after vascular injury and in atherogenesis. In this study, the ability of antithrombin III to inhibit alpha-thrombin-induced DNA

Multi‐Omics Analyses Elucidate the Venom Components of the Wasp Vespa mandarinia
The wasp Vespa mandarinia was widely reared in Yunnan province. The venom was responsible for their aggressive behavior. Tweety proteases, hyaluronidase, venom dipeptidyl peptidase 4, and phospholipase A1 and A2 isozyme were identified. In addition, organic heterocyclic compounds, organic acids, and derivatives were found.

Antithrombin-III and platelets in hemodialysis patients
Plasma antithrombin-III (AT-III) levels in 18 patients on maintenance hemodialysis were studied. AT-III was measured functionally and immunologically before and after dialysis. Simultaneous counts of platelets were made.
