ABSTRACT This commentary integrates findings from three recent Cell reports to establish a unified mechanistic model of multiple sclerosis (MS) driven by the interplay between Epstein‐Barr virus (EBV) and the HLA‐DR15 genotype. EBV promotes CNS autoimmunity through three distinct but intersecting mechanisms.

Enhanced peripheral blood mononuclear cell lipid metabolism drives poor immunotherapy response via ferroptotic stress‐induced T cell exhaustion in hepatocellular carcinoma

Integrated multi‐omics reveals that CD36‐mediated lipid overload in PBMCs drives T cell exhaustion via sub‐lethal ferroptotic stress and AKT suppression. This systemic metabolic signature serves as a robust predictor of immunotherapy response in HCC, suggesting that modulating lipid metabolism can rescue immune fitness.
