Involvement of Adenosine A2A Receptors in Anxiety‐Like Behaviors in Tetrahydrocannabinol‐Treated Mice

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
This study evaluated anxiety‐like behavior in mice across treatment and control groups using open field and elevated plus maze tests, followed by hippocampal receptor gene expression analysis. The combined behavioral and molecular data identify potential receptor‐level mechanisms underlying the observed treatment‐associated behavioral changes. ABSTRACT

Efficacy of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation on Postoperative Delirium in Elderly Patients Undergoing Non‐Cardiac Major Surgery: A Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.

Comparative Efficacy and Safety of Ketamine Versus Midazolam for Suicidality: A GRADE‐Assessed Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
Ketamine rapidly reduced suicidal ideation and depressive symptom severity more than midazolam in adults with acute suicidality across 10 RCTs (n = 649). Transient adverse effects (e.g., nausea, derealization, dizziness) were more frequent with ketamine, supporting its use as a fast‐acting emergency intervention with safety monitoring.

Serotonergic Neuromodulation of Natural Products Isoreserpine and Isoreserpiline in Adult Zebrafish: An in Silico and In Vivo Investigation

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Anxiety is a multidimensional behavioral disorder widely studied in neuroscience due to the involvement of specific neural circuits. Although benzodiazepines are commonly used, their side effects drive the search for new therapeutic alternatives.
