Durability of Soft Pneumatic Actuators: A Review and Benchmarking Protocol

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Lack of durability is a key challenge hindering the broad scale adoption of soft pneumatic actuators (SPAs) in automation industries. This review provides a comprehensive overview of existing research on SPA durability, introduces a standardized durability benchmarking protocol to consolidate the testing of SPAs, and outlines promising directions for ...

Cross‐Scale Hierarchical Targeted Delivery System Based on Small‐Scale Magnetic Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article reviews a cross‐scale hierarchical targeted delivery system that integrates magnetic continuum robots and magnetic microrobots. By combining rapid long‐range navigation with precise microscale targeting, the system overcomes key limitations of single‐scale approaches.

Aortic arch tortuosity with PHACE syndrome : a rare case scenario [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
PHACE syndrome is a rare neurocutaneous disorder characterised by an association of infantile haemangiomas with structural anomalies of brain, cerebral vasculature, eye, aorta and chest wall.1 Coarctation of aorta (COA) is most the common cardiac anomaly

CDK4/6 Inhibition Induces CD8+ T Cell Antitumor Immunity via MIF‐Induced Functional Orchestration of Tumor‐Associated Macrophages

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CDK4/6 inhibition promotes CD8+ T cell expansion through tumor‐macrophage crosstalk by activating HIF‐1α and enhancing MIF‐CD44/CD74 signaling. This reprograms TAMs to boost MHC‐I antigen presentation, and CDK4/6 inhibitor‐trained M1 TAM supernatant therapy synergizes with low‐dose PD‐1 blockade to restore antitumor immunity.

Fracture of the Second Rib: An Indirect Sign of Serious Trauma Like Fracture of the First Rib?

open access: yesJournal of Chest Surgery, 2023
Background: The first 3 ribs are anatomically well-protected, shielded by the large thoracic muscles, the shoulder girdle, and the arm. A significant force is required to fracture these ribs; thus, such fractures suggest a high-energy trauma and are ...
