Chronic risk factors for pseudoaneurysm (PSA) or penetrating aortic ulcer (PAU) have not been fully clarified. This study aims to evaluate the association of aortic calcification with PSA or PAU of different etiologies. Totally 77 pseudoaneurysms, 80 PAU,

Contribution of Bone Morphogenetic Protein-2 to Aortic Valve Calcification in Aged Rat
Although aging is well established as an important risk factor for aortic stenosis, the mechanism of age-related aortic valve calcification is yet unknown. Here, we investigated this mechanism in tissue and cellular levels using middle-aged rats.

Aortic calcification is associated with aortic stiffness and isolated systolic hypertension in healthy individuals [PDF]
Arterial stiffening is an independent predictor of mortality and underlies the development of isolated systolic hypertension (ISH). A number of factors regulate stiffness, but arterial calcification is also likely to be important.

Three‐dimensional bioprinting transforms breast cancer modeling from simple constructs into spatially organized, multicellular, perfused, and patient‐derived platforms. This review shows how bioinks, cellular composition, architecture, and flow govern tumor behavior and drug response, while revealing why complexity alone is insufficient without ...

Living donor heart valves offer superior durability for pediatric patients but trigger immune rejection. Lentiviral delivery of viral immune‐evasion genes US2 and Serpin b9 into donor valve cells and valve tissue suppresses HLA expression, reduces PBMC clustering and cytotoxic killing, and induces transcriptional immune‐tolerance programs, paving the ...

A polymeric graft loaded with radiopaque bismuth nanoparticles is expected to undergo gradual polymer resorption and nanoparticle release. This design enables noninvasive, multimodal monitoring of device integrity, patency, and degradation using computed tomography alongside ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging over 12 weeks.
