Animal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.Unilateral, minimally invasive, renal arterial embolization and delayed contralateral nephrectomy was described in cats as a novel remnant kidney model of chronic kidney disease using two doses of embolic particles. Renal function declined and characteristic histopathological markers of kidney disease were present 6 months after the embolism procedure.

AIFM1 plays a role in the MIA40‐mediated import into the IMS and oxidative folding of nuclear‐encoded proteins, including ETC complexes I and IV subunits. ANZ Journal of Surgery, Volume 92, Issue 12, Page 3198-3203, December 2022., 2022 CT‐assessed ratio of L3 vertebral body cross‐sectional area to total psoas muscle cross‐sectional area (L3:PM) is a simple yet significant predictor of 30‐, 90‐ and 365‐day mortality in emergency laparotomy patients. This study is the first to describe the association in an Australian population.
