Reinforcing Calcium Overload via Inflammation‐Mediated Targeting to Amplify Pyroptosis and Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A neutrophil‐membrane‐camouflaged nanoplatform (RC@NMVs) exploits tumor inflammation to target and accumulate in tumors. Intracellular Ca2+ overload is triggered via lysosomal CaP dissolution and Ru red‐mediated Ca2+ channel blockade, synergistically inducing gasdermin‐mediated pyroptosis.

A Spatiotemporally Controlled Nanoplatform for Photothermal BRD4 Degradation Enables Synergistic Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A GSH‐responsive MOF nanoplatform acts as a Photothermolysis‐Targeting Conjugate (PTTAC). Through sophisticated step‐wise nuclear delivery, it enables NIR‐II light‐triggered photothermal degradation of BRD4. This precise strategy induces robust immunogenic cell death (ICD) and powerfully synergizes with anti‐PD‐L1 blockade to elicit a potent systemic ...

APD tool

open access: yes, 2017
A main challenge of today's organizations is the monitoring of their processes to check whether these processes comply with process models specifying the prescribed behavior. Deviations from the prescribed behavior can represent either legitimate work practices not described by the models, which highlight the need of improving it to better reflect the ...

Tumor‐Induced Splenic Remodeling: Mechanisms of Systemic Immunosuppression and Emerging Therapeutic Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite the transformative impact of cancer immunotherapies such as immune checkpoint blockade, durable clinical responses remain limited. Increasing evidence indicates that antitumor immunity is governed not only by the tumor microenvironment, but also by systemic immune regulation mediated by peripheral immune organs. Among these, the spleen

InGaAs APD thermometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The infrared detector is the most important component within any radiation thermometry based system, with its choice determining the wavelength, response time and, ultimately, the temperature measurement capabilities of the instrument. To improve upon the existing generation of radiation thermometers, more sensitive detector technologies are required ...

Are There Causal Associations Between Obsessive‐Compulsive Disorder and Cardiometabolic Phenotypes? A Genetic Correlation and Bi‐Directional Mendelian Randomization Study

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part B: Neuropsychiatric Genetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In epidemiological studies, obsessive‐compulsive disorder (OCD) is robustly associated with increased risk of cardiometabolic disorders, including cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, and obesity. However, the mechanisms behind these associations are unclear. We conducted genetic correlation analyses to explore shared genetic etiology and

Atrial APD prolongation caused by the upregulation of RAGE and subsequent INaL increase in diabetic patients

open access: yesActa Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a risk factor for the development of atrial fibrillation (AF). The action potential duration (APD) has been demonstrated to be prolonged in the atrium of diabetic mice. In contrast, the APD is generally shortened in AF patients.
