Relationship of Substance Use Disorder to Aggression in Male Subjects with Antisocial Personality Disorder [PDF]

open access: yesDüşünen Adam Psikiyatri ve Nörolojik Bilimler Dergisi, 2007
Objective: Aggression is a particular problem commonly observed in personality disorders, especially in antisocial personality disorder (APD). It is well known that APD is closely related to substance use disorder (SUD).

Pronounced effects of HERG-blockers E-4031 and erythromycin on APD, spatial APD dispersion and triangulation in transgenic long-QT type 1 rabbits. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Prolongation of action potential duration (APD), increased spatial APD dispersion, and triangulation are major factors promoting drug-induced ventricular arrhythmia. Preclinical identification of HERG/IKr-blocking drugs and their pro-arrhythmic potential,

Characterization of the Hamamatsu S8664 Avalanche Photodiode for X-Ray and VUV-light detection

open access: yes, 2011
We present the first operation of the Avalanche Photodiode (APD) from Hamamatsu to xenon scintillation light and to direct X-rays of 22.1 keV and 5.9 keV. A large non-linear response was observed for the direct X-ray detection.

Interactions of Antibody Drug Conjugate Anti‐Tubulin and Topoisomerase I Inhibitor Payloads with Radiotherapy to Potentiate Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Antibody drug conjugates deliver their cytotoxic anti‐tubulin or topoisomerase I inhibitor payloads to tumors through cancer cell receptor targeting. The released drug payloads induce cellular changes that interact with radiotherapy resulting in radiosensitization that improves cancer cell kill and stimulates anti‐tumor immune responses.

Calcium‐ and voltage‐driven atrial alternans: Insight from [Ca]i and Vm asynchrony

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, 2023
Cardiac alternans is defined as beat‐to‐beat alternations in contraction strength, action potential duration (APD), and Ca transient (CaT) amplitude. Cardiac excitation–contraction coupling relies on the activity of two bidirectionally coupled excitable ...

A prototype ASIC for APD array readout of scintillating plastic fibers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We report on the development of custom front-end electronics for use with avalanche photodiode (APD) arrays as part of a NASA technology study for the readout of scintillating plastic fibers. APD arrays featuring 64 1 mm square pixels are used.

Experimental Determination of the Gain Distribution of an Avalanche Photodiode at Low Gains

open access: yes, 2008
A measurement system for determining the gain distributions of avalanche photodiodes (APDs) in a low gain range is presented. The system is based on an ultralow-noise charge--sensitive amplifier and detects the output carriers from an APD.

Regulating Tumor Metabolic Reprogramming with Biomimetic Co‐Delivery of Simvastatin and Kynureninase for Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
After the intravenous injection of biomimetic and pH/ROS‐responsive PTSK@CRM, the nanoparticles can be accumulated in tumors and release Sim and KYNase to inhibit the tumor growth, regulate the metabolism of cholesterol and Kyn, and reverse the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment.

Anti‐PD‐1 Nanobody‐Armored MSLN CAR‐T Therapy for Malignant Mesothelioma: Preclinical and Clinical Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel therapy using engineered immune cells (NAC‐T cells) showed promise for refractory malignant mesothelioma. Based on the encouraging preclinical data, the first‐in‐human trial is initiated, demonstrating tolerable safety and promising anti‐tumor activity (ORR 63.6%, DCR 100%, including one CR).

A European perspective on auditory processing disorder-current knowledge and future research focus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Current notions of \u201chearing impairment,\u201d as reflected in clinical audiological practice, do not acknowledge the needs of individuals who have normal hearing pure tone sensitivity but who experience auditory processing difficulties in everyday ...
