Molecular cloning, characterization and expression analysis of cinnamate 4-hydroxylase (C4H) from Ferula pseudalliacea

open access: yesKuwait Journal of Science
Cinnamate 4-hydroxylase (C4H) is a key enzyme in the phenylpropanoid pathway, catalyzing the hydroxylation of trans-cinnamic acid to p-coumaric acid. However, there is very limited information on the function of C4H in medicinal plants.

Landsystems of the tropical high Peruvian Andes: Glaciers, lakes, wetlands and water resources in the Cordillera Vilcanota

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 51, Issue 5, May 2026.
We outline the geomorphological relationships between glaciers, lakes and bofedal wetlands, and the way in which moraines, talus slopes and sandar interact with catchment hydrology in the tropical Andes of Peru. Bofedales are well developed within glacial limits, with glacial processes such as erosion and formation of moraines providing the poorly ...

Saikosaponin A Inhibits Migration/Invasion and Triggers Cell‐Cycle Arrest and Autophagy‐Induced Cell Death in HCT116 Cells and In Vivo

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 3, May 2026.
Saikosaponin A from Radix Bupleuri inhibited colorectal cancer HCT116 cells with low toxicity. SSA induced S/G2‐M cell cycle arrest and triggered autophagy via mTOR inhibition. SSA suppressed metastasis by blocking PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. SSA significantly reduced tumor growth without apparent toxicity.
