The aim of this study was to study the diurnal variation of the cardiovascular risk markers apolipoprotein A1 and B and apo B/apo A1 ratio. We have studied the diurnal variation of apolipoprotein A1, apolipoprotein B and apo B/apo A1 ratio during night sleep and the day sleep conditions in seven healthy volunteers (age 22-32 yr).

Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is a prevalent liver disease that is increasingly being associated with cardiovascular disease. Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) may have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities, and may reduce liver injury in NASH. To date, no studies have assessed the efficacy of UDCA in carotid intima media thickness (CIMT), serum

There exists a close relationship between cardiovascular diseases and chronic kidney disease. Apolipoprotein A1 and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol are widely used as cardiovascular risk markers but they also have anti-inflammatory properties.

Genetic relationship between equine apolipoproteins A4 and A1
Animal Genetics, 1997Genetic polymorphism of equine apolipoprotein (APO) A4 was investigated using two‐dimensional electrophoresis in four horse breeds, including Japanese native horses. A linkage relationship between the equine APOA4 and APOA1 structural loci was assumed from the segregation data of these loci in one family line of the Japanese Hokkaido native breed.

[Apolipoprotein A1 and apolipoprotein B in pleural effusions].
Revista clinica espanola, 2005To determine the levels of apolipoprotein A1 and apolipoprotein B in pleural effusions and analyze their possible diagnostic value.A total of 117 patients with pleural effusion (30 transudates and 87 exudates) were included. The apolipoproteins were measured by turbidimetry. The apolipoprotein B values in serum were slightly lower in transudates than in

Epidemiological evidence suggests that the ratio HDL-cholesterol (HDL-C)/total cholesterol (TC) or apolipoprotein A1 (apo A1)/apolipoprotein B (apo B) are good indicators of coronary heart disease risk. In investigating the distribution of these ratios in the typical population served by our routine laboratory, we analysed the lipid results of 541 ...
