Erythrocyte-Bound Apolipoprotein B in Relation to Atherosclerosis, Serum Lipids and ABO Blood Group [PDF]
Introduction:Erythrocytes carry apolipoprotein B on their membrane, but the determining factors of erythrocyte-bound apolipoprotein B (ery-apoB) are unknown.

Dabigatran and apolipoprotein B [PDF]
Dabigatran is the first of a series of new direct acting oral anticoagulants that was clinically introduced for the prevention of ischaemic stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). In the randomized evaluation of long-term anticoagulation therapy (RE-LY) study, dabigatran was shown to be superior or non-inferior to warfarin in preventing ...

Secretion of apolipoprotein B in serum-free cultures of human hepatoma cell line, HepG2 [PDF]
We have developed a defined medium which can maintain efficient growth of HepG2 cells sustaining the synthesis of a variety of plasma proteins including apolipoprotein B. This defined system was used to investigate long-term effects of insulin, estrogen,

Which lipid measurement should we monitor? An analysis of the LIPID study [PDF]
OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the optimal lipid to measure in monitoring patients, we assessed three factors that influence the choice of monitoring tests: (1) clinical validity; (2) responsiveness to therapy changes and (3) the size of the long-term ‘signal ...

Degradation of human apolipoprotein B‐100 by apolipoprotein(a)
Human plasma low density lipoproteine (LDL) contain a very high molecular weight protein termed apoB‐100 (M r = 550,000). In many samples of LDL, minor components designated as apoB‐74 (M r = 407,000) and apoB‐26 (M r = 145,000) are present. It has been shown that they can arise as a result of proteolytic degradation of apoB‐100.

Apolipoprotein B Is Associated With the Microenvironment of Cholangiocarcinoma [PDF]
BackgroundCholangiocarcinoma (CCA) is a kind of devastating malignancy, which is correlated with the extremely high mortality. Due to the occult pathogenesis of CCA, most patients are diagnosed in the advanced stage. However, the efficacy of chemotherapy and immunotherapy is limited for these patients.

Apolipoprotein[a] is not associated with apolipoprotein B in human liver
The aim of this research was to determine whether apolipoprotein[a] (apo[a]) is linked to apolipoprotein B (apoB) in human liver. Four ELISAs were developed: 1) a competition assay that measures apoB; 2) a competition assay that measures apo[a]; 3) a capture assay based on capture of apo[a] by a polyclonal antibody and detection of co-immobilized apoB ...
