Advances in Thermoelectric Thin Films Grown by Atomic Layer Deposition: A Critical Review of Performance and Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This review highlights the use of atomic layer deposition (ALD) for fabricating thermoelectric thin films with atomic‐scale control. Four material classes—chalcogenides, doped oxides, ternary oxides, and multilayered structures—are compared in terms of growth dynamics, structure–property relationships, and thermoelectric performance. The precise tuning

SNM1B/Apollo in the DNA damage response and telomere maintenance

open access: yesOncoTarget, 2017
hSNM1B/Apollo is a member of the highly conserved β-CASP subgroup within the MBL superfamily of proteins. It interacts with several DNA repair proteins and functions within the Fanconi anemia pathway in response to DNA interstrand crosslinks.

The Future of Hydrogen‐Powered Aviation: Technologies, Challenges, and a Strategic Roadmap for Sustainable Decarbonization

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
Hydrogen‐powered aviation offers a transformative pathway to zero‐emission flight by eliminating in‐flight CO2 emissions. Key considerations include propulsion systems (fuel cells and hydrogen combustion), cryogenic storage and insulation challenges, infrastructure and cost barriers, and supply‐chain constraints.

Apollo Belenos on Norican and Tauriscan coins

open access: yesArheološki Vestnik, 2016
The head on the obverse of Norican and Tauriscan coins is often casually identified as Apollo’s, mainly based on the god’s appearance on suggested prototypes for these coins.

The Ancient Greek Symbolism in the Religious Landscape. The Case of Delphi
Il simbolismo greco antico nel paesaggio religioso. Il caso di Delfi

open access: yesStudia Mythologica Slavica, 2018
This paper discusses the ancient Greek beliefs from a different perspective; I attempt to approach the old themes in an interdisciplinary way. I refer to the studies of French anthropology and on the ethnological studies of the conceptualization of the ...

A Simple and Accurate Apollo-Trained Neural Network Controller for Mars Atmospheric Entry

open access: yesInternational Journal of Aerospace Engineering, 2020
We present a new method to design the controller for Mars capsule atmospheric entry using deep neural networks and flight-proven Apollo entry data. The controller is trained to modulate the bank angle with data from the Apollo entry simulations.
