Apparent Metabolizable Energy Content of Foods Used by Mourning Doves
The Journal of Wildlife Management, 1988We collected metabolic efficiency and consumption data on 12 seed diets fed to captive mourning doves (Zenaida macroura) under simulated winter conditions. Doves consumed 7-17 g/day of 8 diets (i.e., acceptable) and 0.8-3.5 g/day of 4 diets (i.e., unacceptable). Metabolic efficiencies of doves on the 8 acceptable diets ranged from 69 to 94%.

Apparent metabolizable energy of seeds in greater prairie-chickens
Transactions of the Kansas Academy of Science, 2005Abstract The apparent metabolizable energy (AME) of ten different seeds, and three commercial feeds was determined for greater prairie-chickens (Tympanuchus cupido pinnatus) under simulated winter conditions. Seeds rated extremely poor potential energy sources for wintering greater prairie-chickens included buckbrush and Blackwell switchgrass (AME ...

World's Poultry Science Journal, 1981
There are two methods in use currently for the rapid hiolopical determination of metabolizable energy content of feedstuffs for poultry. One method gives a 'true' metabolizable energy (TME) value (Sibhald 1976a), and the other an 'apparent' metabolizable energy (ME) value (Farrell 1978a, 1980)

Apparent digestible and metabolizable energy content of glycerol in feed of growing pigs
Livestock Science, 2011Abstract Two experiments were conducted each with the same 12 pigs in the growing and finishing phase to determine the apparent digestible (DE) and metabolizable energy (ME) content of crude glycerol (86.76%) in feed compositions. Animals were randomly selected and placed into individual metabolism crates. Pigs fed basal diet supplemented with 0%, 5%

Determination of apparent metabolizable energy of full-fat sunflower seed in broiler chickens
Proceedings of the British Society of Animal Science, 2009Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) is one of the most widely cultivated oilseeds in the world and ranks third in importance as a source of vegetable oil. In our experiment, full-fat sunflower seed (FFSS) had 180 g/kg CP, 380 g/kg EE, and 143 g/kg CF.

Apparent Metabolizable Energy of Pure and Crude Glycerol for Roosters
Materyal ve Metot: Bu amaçla 30 haftalık yaşta 20 ...KÖKSAL, Bekir Hakan +3 more
