1‐Methylcyclopropene Containing‐Paper Enhances the Storability of Anxi Persimmon by Regulating Energy Metabolism

open access: yesFuture Postharvest and Food, EarlyView.
1‐Methylcyclopropene (1‐MCP) containing‐paper delayed the color change and maintained higher rate of commercially acceptable fruit in Anxi persimmons during storage were attributed to the increased activities of H+‐ATPase, Ca2+‐ATPase, and Mg2+‐ATPase and higher levels of ATP content and energy charge (EC).

Nonthermal Food Processing Technologies: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesFuture Postharvest and Food, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract illustrates the shift from traditional thermal food preservation methods to advanced nonthermal technologies. Traditional methods, represented by heating, often compromise the nutritional and sensory quality of foods. In contrast, nonthermal approaches such as high‐pressure processing (HPP), pulsed electric field (PEF ...

Laser‐Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) for Rapid Food Safety Monitoring: Advancements, Applications, and Future Directions

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
Laser‐induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) emerges as a transformative tool for rapid, on‐site pesticide residue detection in food, offering real‐time screening with minimal sample preparation and eliminating solvent use. Although LIBS demonstrates detection limits (0.009–6.9 mg/kg) suitable for regulatory screening and aligns with green chemistry ...

Magnetic Cotton Stalk Biochar for Rapid and Eco‐Friendly Extraction and Determination of Triazole Pesticides in Fruit Juices

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
A magnetic solid‐phase extraction–liquid chromatography method for detecting triazole fungicides in fruit juices has been established using magnetic cotton stalk biochar. This method offers rapid analysis, high sensitivity, and environmentally friendly characteristics. ABSTRACT Triazole fungicides (TFs) are widely used but pose health risks. Among them,
