Application driven software for chemistry [PDF]
This paper provides a brief introduction to application driven software technology and its usage in the development of a new computer-based problem solving methodology. This new methodology is based on the principle of ldquotake the computer to the problemrdquo rather than ldquotaken the problem to the computerrdquo as done by current computer-based ...

ABSTRACT Background Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients frequently suffer from frailty, characterized by reduced physical function and poor prognosis. Myokines, such as myonectin, secreted by muscle, are emerging regulators of systemic health. This study investigated the relationship between serum myonectin, adipokines (adiponectin, omentin), and ...

Categorizing software applications for maintenance [PDF]
Software repositories hold applications that are often categorized to improve the effectiveness of various maintenance tasks. Properly categorized applications allow stakeholders to identify requirements related to their applications and predict maintenance problems in software projects. Unfortunately, for different legal and organizational reasons the

Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

A robotic software for intelligent applications [PDF]
This study addresses the development of a novel intelligent robotic software system which can control a low-cost five DOF robotic arm and allows the robot to be able to play Tic-Tac-Toe, a simple board game. The paper first aims to introduce proposed software and then details the application developed, including image processing, and decision making ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
