Synergistic perspectives—How single‐molecule biophysics complement biochemical understanding
In this review, we discuss how ensemble biochemistry and single‐molecule approaches are complementary, outline commonly used single‐molecule techniques, and illustrate their relevance through two representative case studies: chromatin organization by SMC complexes and pathway choice during DNA double‐strand break repair.

A possible candidate for triply degenerate point fermions in trigonal layered PtBi2
Triply degenerate point (TP) fermions have been reported in MoP but the TPs are far below the Fermi level. Here, Guo et al. predict and verify the possible existence of TP fermions in trigonal layered PtBi2, where the TP points are close to the Fermi ...

Apparent charge reduction in multipolarons crafted one-by-one in monolayer CrBr3
Manipulating electrons opens up emerging synthetic strategies. Multipolaron, as a rare quasiparticle containing multiple excess charges collectively dressed with shared local lattice distortions, provides an ideal medium for electron manipulation, yet ...

Smaller is better: nanobodies meet NMR
Nanobodies are single‐domain antigen‐binding fragments derived from camelid heavy chain antibodies. Their small size, high stability, and exceptional specificity make nanobodies uniquely useful probes for NMR studies of protein dynamics, transient conformational states, and protein–protein interactions.

Gradient phase and amplitude errors in atomic magnetic gradiometers for biomagnetic imaging systems
Summary: The cross-axis projection error (CAPE) caused by residual magnetic fields has recently attracted widespread attention. In this study, we propose a more specific theoretical model and expand the CAPE in gradient measurements. We first report that

Using the effective mass approximation in a parabolic two-band model, we studied the effects of the geometrical parameters, on the electron and hole states, in two truncated conical quantum dots: (i) GaAs-(Ga,Al)As in the presence of a shallow donor ...

Contact resistance, coupling and hysteresis loss measurements of ITER poloidal field joint in parallel applied magnetic field [PDF]
The inter-strand contact resistance and AC losses were measured on an International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) poloidal field (PF) coil joint in a parallel applied AC magnetic field.

Transient oligomers formed by intrinsically disordered proteins may be ‘invisible’ to direct detection yet remain accessible to solution NMR through equilibrium‐exchange measurements and pressure‐jump experiments. Complementary methods report on mass, stoichiometry, selected distance distributions, morphology, and internal packing.

Transient dynamics of magneto-optic rotation with elliptically polarized light
In this paper, we analyze the transient behavior of nonlinear magneto-optical rotation in a 87Rb vapor cell. Our focus is on optimizing the optical rotation signal by identifying influential factors.
