Explicit approximate controllability of the Schr\"odinger equation with a polarizability term

open access: yes, 2012
We consider a controlled Schr\"odinger equation with a dipolar and a polarizability term, used when the dipolar approximation is not valid. The control is the amplitude of the external electric field, it acts non linearly on the state.

Pulmonary Dysfunction Is Associated With Sleep Study Abnormalities in Children With Sickle Cell Disease: A Multicenter Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pulmonary dysfunction and sleep abnormalities are common in children with sickle cell disease (SCD) and are associated with worse clinical outcomes. Whether spirometry abnormalities are associated with polysomnography (PSG) findings remains unclear.

Approximate Controllability for Time-Dependent Impulsive Neutral Stochastic Partial Differential Equations with Fractional Brownian Motion and Memory

open access: yesUniversal Journal of Mathematics and Applications, 2020
In this manuscript, we investigate the approximate controllability for time-dependent impulsive neutral stochastic partial differential equations with fractional Brownian motion and memory in Hilbert space.

Germline TP53 Mutations Causing Diamond–Blackfan Anemia: A French Report

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Diamond–Blackfan anemia is a rare congenital erythroblastopenia typically caused by mutations in ribosomal protein genes. Recently, gain‐of‐function mutations in TP53 have been identified as a novel cause of Diamond–Blackfan anemia. We report two French patients who both harbored a heterozygous TP53 deletion (NM_000546.5: c.1077delA; p ...

Controllability distributions and systems approximations: a geometric approach [PDF]

open access: yes[1992] Proceedings of the 31st IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 1994
Given a nonlinear system we determine a relation at an equilibrium between controllability distributions defined for a nonlinear system and a Taylor series approximation of it. The value of such a relation is appreciated if we recall that the solvability conditions as well as the solutions to some control synthesis problems can be stated in terms of ...

‘They Need to Hear You Say It’: Healthcare Professionals’ Perspectives on Barriers and Enablers to End‐of‐Life Discussions With Adolescents and Young Adults With Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT End‐of‐life conversations with adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer rarely occur without the guidance of healthcare professionals. As a part of the ‘Difficult Discussions’ study, focused on palliative care and advance care planning discussions with AYAs with cancer, we investigated the factors that healthcare professionals identify ...

Invariance Entropy of Hyperbolic Control Sets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we improve the known estimates for the invariance entropy of a nonlinear control system. For sets of complete approximate controllability we derive an upper bound in terms of Lyapunov exponents and for uniformly hyperbolic sets we obtain a

Feasibility and Safety of High‐Dose Proton Re‐Irradiation in Recurrent Pediatric Central Nervous System Tumors: A Single‐Institution Retrospective Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Pediatric central nervous system (CNS) tumors often recur despite multimodality therapy. Although re‐irradiation (re‐RT) has historically been limited by concerns for severe late toxicities, modern techniques have renewed interest in this approach. Proton therapy provides dosimetric advantages that may enable curative re‐treatment with

Greedy controllability of finite dimensional linear systems

open access: yes, 2016
We analyse the problem of controllability for parameter-dependent linear finite-dimensional systems. The goal is to identify the most distinguished realisations of those parameters so to better describe or approximate the whole range of controls.
