A mixed method for Dirichlet problems with radial basis functions
We present a simple discretization by radial basis functions for the Poisson equation with Dirichlet boundary condition. A Lagrangian multiplier using piecewise polynomials is used to accommodate the boundary condition.

Alternative approaches to implementing Lagrange multiplier tests for serial correlation in dynamic regression models [PDF]
An approximate F-form of the Lagrange multiplier test for serial correlation in dynamic regression models is compared with three bootstrap tests. In one bootstrap procedure, residuals from restricted estimation under the null hypothesis are resampled ...

The Invalidity of the Laplace Law for Biological Vessels and of Estimating Elastic Modulus from Total Stress vs. Strain: a New Practical Method [PDF]
The quantification of the stiffness of tubular biological structures is often obtained, both in vivo and in vitro, as the slope of total transmural hoop stress plotted against hoop strain. Total hoop stress is typically estimated using the "Laplace law."

DQM: Decentralized Quadratically Approximated Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers [PDF]
This paper considers an optimization problem that components of the objective function are available at different nodes of a network and nodes are allowed to only exchange information with their neighbors. The decentralized alternating method of multipliers (DADMM) is a well-established iterative method for solving this category of problems; however ...
