Approximation of meromorphic functions by rational functions

open access: yesJournal of Approximation Theory, 1978
AbstractSome inequalities proved by Meinardus and Varga, and by Erdös and Reddy, on Chebyshev constants for the function 1f, f entire and satisfying some conditions, have been improved or extended to functions satisfying a different set of conditions.

Rational approximations in Analytic QCD

open access: yes, 2009
We consider the ``modified Minimal Analytic'' (mMA) coupling that involves an infrared cut to the standard MA coupling. The mMA coupling is a Stieltjes function and, as a consequence, the paradiagonal Pade approximants converge to the coupling in the ...

COVID‐19 Vaccination is not Associated with the Development of Idiopathic Inflammatory Myositis in U.S. Veterans

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Several case reports have proposed a potential association between COVID‐19 vaccination and the subsequent development of idiopathic inflammatory myositis (IIM). This study examined prior COVID‐19 vaccination in US Veterans who developed new‐onset IIM compared to those without new‐onset IIM.

About the rate of rational approximation of some analytic functions

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 1998
The article is devoted to results relating to the theory of rational approximation of an analytic function. Let ƒ be an analytic function on the disk {z : |z| < ñ), ñ > 1. The rate of decrease of the best approximations ñn of a function ƒ by the rational

Central limit theorems in the geometry of numbers

open access: yes, 2017
We investigate in this paper the distribution of the discrepancy of various lattice counting functions. In particular, we prove that the number of lattice points contained in certain domains defined by products of linear forms satisfies a Central Limit ...

MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL TREATMENT REDUCES THE RISK OF TREATMENT ESCALATION DUE TO VASCULAR COMPLICATIONS IN LIMITED CUTANEOUS SYSTEMIC SCLEROSIS: EMULATION OF A TARGET TRIAL FROM ITALIAN RHEUMATOLOGY SOCIETY SPRING REGISTRY

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Mycophenolate Mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon due to the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of the vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.

Organic Electrochemical Transistor Channel Materials: Copolymerization Versus Physical Mixing of Glycolated and Alkoxylated Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work discusses the use of blended channel materials in OECTs. It explores how mixing glycolated and alkoxylated polymers in various ratios offers a simpler and more efficient route to tuning OECT properties. The performance of the polymer blends is compared to the corresponding copolymers, demonstrating similar OECT characteristics, swelling ...

Approximations for Fractional Derivatives and Fractional Integrals Using Padé Approximation

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics
This paper tackles the persistent challenge of slow convergence and numerical instability in the fractional calculus when applied to power series–representable functions fx=∑i=0∞cixi, limitations that compromise accuracy in scientific applications.

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.
