CAR T‐Cell Therapy in Neurology: A Scoping Review of Neuro‐Oncology, Autoimmune Diseases & Neurotoxicity

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T‐cell therapy has been investigated in neurological diseases, encompassing both central nervous system malignancies and autoimmune disorders, thereby extending its application beyond hematological cancers.

Deficiency of Carbonic Anhydrase II Results in a Urinary Concentrating Defect

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology, 2018
Carbonic anhydrase II (CAII) is expressed along the nephron where it interacts with a number of transport proteins augmenting their activity. Aquaporin-1 (AQP1) interacts with CAII to increase water flux through the water channel. Both CAII and aquaporin-

Modules identification in gene positive networks of hepatocellular carcinoma using pearson agglomerative method and Pearson cohesion coupling modularity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this study, a gene positive network is proposed based on a weighted undirected graph, where the weight represents the positive correlation of the genes.

A Long‐Lived Human Neurovascular PENTA Culture Model Captures Incomplete Vascular Repair and Glia‐Associated Signaling After Traumatic Brain Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A long‐lived, five‐cell‐type human neurovascular (PENTA) model recreates vascular disorganization and incomplete repair after traumatic brain injury (TBI). By integrating endothelial, glial, neuronal, and immune components within a 3D scaffold, the platform enables time‐resolved analysis of neurovascular remodeling and provides a human‐relevant system ...

NSUN5 Attenuates Renal Injury and Ferroptosis in Hyperuricaemic Nephropathy Through YBX2‐Dependent Stabilisation of SCD1 m5C Methylation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NSUN5 is downregulated in hyperuricaemic nephropathy. Overexpression of NSUN5 enhances the stability of SCD1 mRNA through the m5C reader YBX2, ultimately inhibiting ferroptosis in renal tubular epithelial cells. Additionally, this axis suppresses the NF‐κB signaling pathway to alleviate inflammation and upregulates ABCG2 to promote uric acid excretion,

Cells Dynamically Adapt Their Nuclear Volumes and Proliferation Rates During Single to Multicellular Transitions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
It is currently not well understood how cells regulate basic properties, e.g., volume and mechanics within dense multicellular environments like tumors. Here, we show that different cell types of cancer and also normal cells largely decrease their nuclear and cellular volumes in emerging cell clusters and that this is partly driven by cell cycle shifts.

Detergents and Chaotropes for Protein Solubilization before Two-Dimensional Electrophoresis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Because of the outstanding separating capabilities of two-dimensional electrophoresis for complete proteins, it would be advantageous to be able to apply it to all types of proteins.
