Distinct AQP4 Alterations in Movement Disorders with Primary Synucleinopathy

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Aquaporin‐4 (AQP4) is involved in clearing amyloidogenic proteins, but it remains unexplored how it is comparatively altered in neuron‐ and oligodendrocyte‐predominant synucleinopathies. Objective The aim was to assess AQP4 protein localization and abundance in Parkinson's disease (PD) and multiple system atrophy (MSA).

Automatic determination of glymphatic flow with the DTI‐ALPS‐index along the principal axis system in native imaging space corrects for head and fiber orientation

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose The aim of this work is to make the DTI along the perivascular space (DTI‐ALPS‐index) more robust with respect to region selection and the orientation of the head and fibers. We propose to address this matter by using the principal diffusion directions and an automated, atlas‐based region of interest (ROI) placement.

Microglia Display Altered Spatial Morphology and Proteome After Stroke

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Microglia are abundantly distributed throughout the central nervous system (CNS) to play critical roles in neural development and homeostasis, and act as immune sentinels to constantly monitor their surrounding neural environment. Given their high reactivity to brain insults, we hypothesised that the cerebral microenvironment altered by ...

Control of two sucking insect pests, a whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) and a thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis), infesting hot peppers by spraying LDH‐formulated dsRNA

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
A vacuolar type ATPase subunit B (vATPase‐B) gene is identified and expressed in the midgut of Bemisia tabaci and Frankliniella occidentalis. The double‐stranded RNA (dsRNA) specific to vATPase‐B was expressed in hot peppers by virus‐induced gene silencing (VIGS) and killed both whitefly and thrips.

Anomalous Water Flow in Sub‐Nanometer Carbon Nanoconfinement

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Ultra‐narrow carbon nanoconfinement enables single‐file transport and interface‐governed flow, driving superfast water mobility. Disrupted hydrogen bonding and intensified molecular ordering underpin anomalous dynamics, bridging atomistic insight with pseudo‐continuum behavior.
