Electrocoagulation in aqueous dispersions
2003A renewed interest in electrocoagulation has been initiated by the search for cost-effective wastewater treatment processes. Electrocoagulation is a combination of the processes of electroflotation and electroprecipitation, involving the electrolytic addition of coagulating metal ions directly into water from sacrificial electrodes.

The rheology of aqueous polyurethane dispersions
Journal of Non-Newtonian Fluid Mechanics, 1999Abstract The rheological properties of aqueous polyurethane dispersions are reported from the dilute regime up to mass concentrations in excess of 40 wt.%. Particle size decreases and the particles are more resistant to shear induced deformation with increasing ionic strength and, at very low ionic strength, the reduced viscosity passes through a ...

Dispersions in Non-Aqueous Media
1983This paper describes work whose main objective is to further understanding of the factors which determine the stability of dispersions in non-aqueous media, and later to examine the influence of these factors on other properties of such dispersions. The study originated in the following way. Some dozen years ago the Colloid Science Panel of the Science
