Thermochromism of Model Organic Aerosol Matter [PDF]
Laboratory experiments show that the optical absorptivity of model organic matter is not an intrinsic property, but a strong function of relative humidity, temperature, and insolation.

Nanosecond pulse laser texturing yields superhydrophobic and superhydrophilic AA2024 surfaces. Salt‐spray tests show that periodic superhydrophobic patterns suppress pitting, whereas superhydrophilic textures enhance it, linking laser‐induced morphology, wettability, and oxide chemistry to corrosion resistance.

Trace amounts of perfluoro‐1‐butanesulfonyl fluoride enables the regulation of the Zn/electrolyte interface by the generated zincophilic ─SO3H groups with long hydrophobic ─CF2 tails, which adsorb strongly onto the Zn surface, displace water molecules from the inner Helmholtz plane, and reconstruct the electrical double‐layer structure.

Ionic Liquid-Based Electrolytes for Supercapacitor and Supercapattery
There is a strong desire to replace or complement aqueous and organic electrolytes by ionic liquids (ILs) in electrochemical energy storage (EES) devices to achieve high operating voltages and hence high energy capacity.

Triblock Polymer Engineering Enables Hydration‐Rich, High‐Performance, Fouling‐Resistant Interfaces
A molecularly engineered triblock polymer (PHZ) rapidly reorganizes into a hydration‐rich interfacial layer on diverse surfaces, strongly suppressing hydrophobic attraction and fouling. The triblock polymer provides robust energy and steric barriers to oily foulants, enabling high‐performance antifouling at ultralow dosage.

Electrodeposition from supercritical fluids
Recent studies have shown that it is possible to electrodeposit a range of materials, such as Cu, Ag and Ge, from various supercritical fluids, including hydrofluorocarbons and mixtures of CO2 with suitable co-solvents. In this perspective we discuss the
