Agronomic evaluation of Arachis pintoi (Krap. and Greg.) germplasm in Florida [PDF]
Arachis pintoi germplasm displayed great variability with respect to adaptation, dry matter yield, nutritive value, seed production, and nematode reaction. Average forage dry matter yield (FDMY) during the year 2003 was 4.35 Mg/ ha, and ranged from zero to 9.10 Mg/ha.

Next generation sequence analysis of the forage peanut (Arachis pintoi) virome [PDF]
Forage peanut (Arachis pintoi) is one of the forage crops best adapted to tropical agroecosystems where it is used as ground cover in urban areas and slopes, in the preservation of soils cultivated with coffee, African oil palm and citrus and as animal feed in combination with gramineous plants. A. pintoi is considered to be highly resistant to plagues

Biological test of compost made of rabbit faeces and the addition of banana peels on the vegetative growth of Morus alba and Arachis pintoi [PDF]
The purpose of this research was to determine vegetative growth performance of Morus alba and Arachis pintoi with different percentages of compost mixture (rabbit feces and kepok banana (Musa paradisiaca Linn) peels) and soil as media. The materials used

Abstract Overseeding alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) into grass swards increases forage nutritive value and reduces N fertilizer requirement. In warm climates, establishing and maintaining alfalfa in mixtures with vigorous C4 grasses is challenging, which makes adjustment of defoliation management critical.

Abstract In the low fertility acid soils of the Orinoquian savannas of Colombia, Urochloa humidicola cv. Tully or Humidicola is one of the most widely planted tropical forage grasses for improving livestock productivity. Low nutritional quality of this grass limits sustainable livestock production in this region.

Extensive analysis of the literature revealed the complexity of banana below‐ground interactions and the driving factors of Fusarium wilt, for which the mechanisms remain poorly understood. Abstract Global banana production is affected by Fusarium wilt, a devastating disease caused by the soilborne root‐infecting fungus, Fusarium oxysporum f.

Abstract Replacing N fertilizer with forage legumes may increase sustainability of grazing systems. The objectives were to evaluate herbage and animal responses and to quantify the water footprint associated with beef production in N‐fertilized grass or grass–legume systems during 4 yr under continuous stocking. The three year‐round forage systems were:
