Estimation of Zero Intelligence Models by L1 Data

open access: yes, 2016
A unit volume zero intelligence (ZI) model is defined and the distribution of its L1 process is recursively described. Further, a generalized ZI (GZI) model allowing non-unit market orders, shifts of quotes and general in-spread events is proposed and a ...

The Keystone‐Pathogen Hypothesis Updated: The Role of Porphyromonas gingivalis in Periodontitis

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, EarlyView.
Porphyromonas gingivalis orchestrates a coordinated manipulation of immune and inflammatory responses in periodontal tissues which leads to the generation of a dysbiotic, subgingival biofilm community, and progression of periodontitis. Development and production of allogeneic cord blood‐derived red blood cell concentrates for transfusion to extremely preterm neonates, the All‐Cord study

open access: yesTransfusion, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Extremely preterm neonates often require red blood cell (RBC) transfusions derived from adult donors. These transfusions introduce adult hemoglobin into a neonatal hematopoietic system dominated by fetal hemoglobin (HbF), shifting the oxygen‐dissociation curve and increasing oxygen delivery to immature tissues.

Genomic Integrity in Gull Chicks Predicts Colony Departure and Postfledging Movements

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 3, March 2026.
We integrated molecular biomarkers with high‐resolution GPS tracking to study key behavioral decisions during the transition to independence in a long‐lived colonial seabird. We found that juveniles with shorter telomeres and higher DNA damage leave the colony earlier, revealing a link between physiological state and movement ecology.

Terrestrial Ecosystem Response to Changing Temperature and Seasonality in the Paleocene‐Eocene Thermal Maximum: Shallow Marine Records From the Salisbury Embayment, USA

open access: yesPaleoceanography and Paleoclimatology, Volume 41, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract The Paleocene‐Eocene thermal maximum (PETM, ∼56 Ma) is marked by a massive and rapid rise in atmospheric CO2 and ∼5°C of global warming. It is globally characterized by a negative carbon isotope excursion (CIE), and, at least locally, is preceded by a pre‐onset excursion (POE).
