This article addresses the rarely studied heritage dimension of rewilding. It explores two innovative lines of research in heritage studies: natureculture, which proposes a nonanthropocentric approach to the concept of heritage, and the study of ruins ...

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

On the Geometric Aspects of Architectural Compositions
We consider different aspects of the application of non-Euclidean geometries in architectural compositions. The main attention is put on Lobachevski's and Mandelbrot's fractal geometry. Lobachevski's geometry is indirectly applied to architecture through models such as the Poincaré disc model.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Customisable transformation-driven evolution for service architectures [PDF]
Service-based architectures have now become commonplace, creating the need to address their systematic maintenance and evolution. We propose to enable transformation-driven evolution for service architectures in a semi-automated fashion.

Cosmopolitical composition of distributed architectures
This paper tells the story of several distributed architectures “from within” and from personal experience. Using a “cosmopolitical compass”, we shall describe four types of architectures — including P2P — that are currently being debated, and find four other types in P2P as such, from centralized P2P to encrypted P2P.

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Graph-based pattern identification from architecture change logs [PDF]
Service-based architectures have become commonplace, creating the need to address their systematic maintenance and evolution. We investigate architecture change representation, primarily focusing on the identification of change patterns that support the ...
