Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

Modeling singular neoclassical spaces in a procedural way
This research article aims to propose a new method for procedurally modeling unique architectural heritage spaces and explore new approaches to 3D-model parameterizable architecture, specifically focusing on neoclassical architecture. Procedural modeling,

Software Architecture Models [PDF]
This chapter demonstrates how one can use analysis of software architectures to generate software designs that are compatible with a chosen ‘property profile’. Such a profile must be determined during requirements specification. The approach used in this chapter is to take each external and internal property, and describe (in)compatibilities between it

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Information system support in construction industry with semantic web technologies and/or autonomous reasoning agents [PDF]
Information technology support is hard to find for the early design phases of the architectural design process. Many of the existing issues in such design decision support tools appear to be caused by a mismatch between the ways in which designers think ...

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Study of Repairs and Various Post-Seismic Interventions Carried Out in Ancient Sites in Algeria
Centuries of accumulated experience in construction during ancient times led to considerable expertise. Roman builders, for example, honed their engineering and construction skills to a high degree, even factoring in considerations for seismic hazards ...
