Effects of immersed moonlets in the ring arc particles of Saturn
Ring arcs are the result of particles in corotation resonances with nearby satellites. Arcs are present in Saturn and Neptune systems, in Saturn they are also associated with small satellites immersed on them.

Monitoring gestational weight gain: setting up a regional surveillance system in Italy
Background In many countries, including Italy, there are few national data on pre-pregnancy Body Mass Index (BMI) and gestational weight gain (GWG), despite these being important predictors of maternal and neonatal health outcomes.

Strong local optimality for generalized L1 optimal control problems [PDF]
In this paper, we analyse control affine optimal control problems with a cost functional involving the absolute value of the control. The Pontryagin extremals associated with such systems are given by (possible) concatenations of bang arcs with singular ...

Island arcs are postulated as the juvenile components that contribute to the growth of continental crust. Growth rates of arc crusts were previously computed using crustal thicknesses derived from seismic data.

Arc‐Disjoint Cycles and Feedback Arc Sets [PDF]
AbstractIsaak posed the following problem. Suppose T is a tournament having a minimum feedback arc set, which induces an acyclic digraph with a hamiltonian path. Is it true that the maximum number of arc‐disjoint cycles in T equals the cardinality of minimum feedback arc set of T? We prove that the answer to the problem is in the negative.

Structured testing is based on the control flow of programs. The analysis of the control flow of program is conducted on a reduced flowgraph, called a decision-to-decision graph (DDGraph). The relations of dominance and implication between arcs enable to

Lower Bound for Complete (k,n)-arc in PG(3,23) [PDF]
In this work, we construct a complete (k,n)-arcs in the projective space over Galois field GF(23), we construct the complete (k,n)-arcs by taking the union of some (k.n)-arcs, by using computer program we added some points of index zero, and found all ...
