Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

A review of chlorinated paraffin contamination in Arctic ecosystems
Chlorinated paraffins (CPs) present a complex mixture of congeners which are often analysed and assessed as short-, medium- and long-chain CPs, i.e. ΣSCCP (C10–C13), ΣMCCP (C14–C17) and ΣLCCP (≥C18).

Advances in methods for determining fecundity: application of the new methods to some marine fishes [PDF]
Estimation of individual egg production (realized fecundity) is a key step either to understand the stock and recruit relationship or to carry out fisheries-independent assessment of spawning stock biomass using egg production methods.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Genomic architecture and population structure of Boreogadus saida from Canadian waters
The polar cod, Boreogadus saida, is an abundant and ubiquitous forage fish and a crucial link in Arctic marine trophic dynamics. Our objective was to unravel layers of genomic structure in B.

Ecosystem structure and function of the North Water Polynya
The North Water Polynya is one of the most productive Arctic regions on Earth, sustaining the world's northernmost Inuit communities for millennia. The polynya is a large and persistent region of open water surrounded by sea ice and exhibits high primary

Biological reference points for North-East Arctic cod and haddock [PDF]
It has been suggested by ACFM that Fmed might be preferable to Fmax as a biological reference point for the North-East Arctic cod. However, the Fmed level of more than twice Fmax appeared high, and it was known to have been based on biased historie SSB estimates.

HARVEST FUNCTIONS: THE NORWEGIAN BOTTOM TRAWL COD FISHERIES [PDF]
A detailed and comprehensive set of catch and effort data for the cod fisheries of 18 Norwegian bottom trawlers have been obtained for the period 1971–85, a period with few binding quota restrictions on vessel operations.

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

SHARING THE NORTHEAST ARCTIC COD: POSSIBLE EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE [PDF]
. The Northeast Arctic cod inhabits the exclusive economic zones of Norway and Russia and migrates extensively between these zones. The stock is shared evenly between the two countries, with a small allocation to third countries. Higher temperatures in the Barents Sea and the Norwegian Sea are expected to affect the stock, probably increasing its size ...
