(1) 市販ゴボゥ80kgをエーテル抽出し,抽出油を常法どおり酸性部,フェノール部,アルデヒド部および中性部に分け,今回,酸性部およびアルデヒド部を検索した. (2) 酸性部から新しい含硫アルキン酸を単離し,ゴボウの学名に従ってArctic acidと命名し,そのメチルエステルの構造を検討し, 5'-(1-propynyl)-5-carbome-thoxy-2, 2'-bithienylであると推定した. (3) 酸性部中の揮発性脂肪酸および非オキシ酸を検索し,次の14化合物の存在を推定した.
