A Comparative Study of an Lpg- Spark Ignition Engine using Liquid Sequential Injection Technique

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
The development of liquid phase Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) as an alternative fuel for the gasoline fuel is becoming popular in spark ignition engines. In this research, an experimental work was conducted on a1.6L 4-cylinder multi-port injection engine.

Aqueous Two‐Phase Bioinks for Discrete Packing and Compartmentalization of 3D Bioprinted Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Aqueous two‐phase systems (ATPS) enable the formation of biomimetic interfaces crucial for tissue engineering. However, clinical translation remains limited by the challenge of precisely controlling cellular compartmentalization. Here, we developed ATPS biomaterial inks for 3D bioprinting allowing tuneable droplet formation via NaCl modulation.

Packed Hydrogel Microfibers as Scaffolds Supporting Dynamic Cellular Behavior and Biomaterial Inks in 3D Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Packed hydrogel microfiber (PHM) materials consist of flexible and high aspect ratio hydrogel components that, as a bulk material, are simultaneously mechanically robust and dynamic. Cells cultured in or on PHM scaffolds can be influenced by topographical cues or interact with a dynamic environment that permits cell spreading and multicellular ...

A Systematic Study of GelMA‐Carbopol Bioinks for High‐Fidelity Extrusion 3D Bioprinting at Physiological Temperatures

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Gonzalez Martinez and collaborators develop a strategy to formulate high performance GelMA‐based bioinks with low solids contents. The resulting bioinks enable 3D bioprinting at 37 °C of high‐fidelity structures with tunable mechanical properties that support high cell viability and function.

EnABLing Cathepsin-Driven Melanoma Metastasis

open access: yesMolecular & Cellular Oncology, 2018
Metastatic melanoma remains incurable for many due to its aggressive nature. Secreted cathepsins promote metastasis by cleaving matrix and activating pro-invasive proteases.

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

L-Arginine inhibits hydrogen peroxide-induced oxidative damage and inflammatory response by regulating antioxidant capacity in ovine intestinal epithelial cells

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science, 2021
Little is known how L-arginine (Arg) affects the ovine intestinal epithelial cells (IOECs) redox status induced by hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). This study aimed to examine the impact of Arg on IOECs subjected to H2O2-induced oxidative damage, intestinal ...

Mechanically Programmable DNA Hydrogel Microparticles for 3D Cellular Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
DNA hydrogel microparticles are designed to exhibit controllable viscoelasticity and stiffness across three orders of magnitude from 30Pa$30 \,\mathrm{Pa}$ to 6.5kPa$6.5 \,\mathrm{kPa}$. They are uptaken into fibroblast spheroids where they are actively remodeled by cellular forces depending on their mechanical properties.
