Fluorescence Label‐Free Doxorubicin Sensor Using Polystyrene Sulfonate as a Synthetic Receptor in Whispering Gallery Mode Microresonators

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
The illustration showcases resonant optical microsensors for Doxorubicin (DXR) detection, using polystyrene sulfonate (PSS) as a synthetic receptor. PSS is deposited as a nanometer‐thick layer on fluorescent microparticles via layer‐by‐layer assembly. DXR‐PSS interaction is depicted, highlighting its effect on the sensor's resonant modes.

Selective Co‐Assembly of Water‐Soluble Conjugated Polyelectrolyte with Discernable Fluorescence Modulation for Antibiotic Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
PQx‐Ph, a water‐soluble conjugated polyelectrolyte, enables rapid and selective fluorescence‐based detection of structurally distinct antibiotics via supramolecular assembly modulation. It achieves nanomolar sensitivity under mild conditions and preserves reliable sensing performance across NOM‐rich and biologically relevant water matrices, supporting ...

Arginine Promoted Ovarian Development in Pacific White Shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei via the NO-sGC-cGMP and TORC1 Signaling Pathways

open access: yesAnimals
This study aimed to evaluate the effects of arginine (0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%, and 2.5% arginine supplementation levels were selected) on the ovarian development of Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei).

The Biosynthetic Order of Amino Acid Addition to the Genetic Code [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2002
The previously formulated model for the evolution of the genetic code was shown to clarify why base triplets of some precursor amino acids differ by a single base from product amino acid codons, while others show less homology. First, the model indicated that the direction of code evolution changed on expansion from the N-fixers code (stage 2).

Emerging Therapeutic Strategies for Hearing Loss

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Challenges still exist in treating hearing loss in cases of severe damage to hair cells or spiral ganglion neurons. Here, a schematic diagram of cochlear sensory hair cells and auditory nerves is presented. It is found that in normal Corti organs, hair cells have upright stereocilia at the top and auditory neurons at the base. Ototoxic drugs, noise, or
