ORGANIZATION OF PROTECTION MECHANISMS FOR CLOUD STORAGE SERVICES

open access: yesDoklady Belorusskogo gosudarstvennogo universiteta informatiki i radioèlektroniki, 2019
Providing effective security mechanisms is an important requirement to any secure cloud solution. In this sense, it's proposed to use a hybrid approach to cloud security that includes both warning and detection mechanisms in order to minimize the ...

Simultaneous inhibition of TRIM24 and TRIM28 sensitises prostate cancer cells to antiandrogen therapy, decreasing VEGF signalling and angiogenesis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
TRIM24 and TRIM28 are androgen receptor (AR) coregulators which exhibit increased expression with cancer progression. Both TRIM24 and TRIM28 combine to influence the response of castrate‐resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) cells to AR inhibitors by mediating AR signalling, regulation of MYC and upregulating VEGF to promote angiogenesis. Castrate‐resistant

Cytomegalovirus infection is common in prostate cancer and antiviral therapies inhibit progression in disease models

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Human cytomegalovirus infection is common in normal prostate epithelium, prostate tumor tissue, and prostate cancer cell lines. CMV promotes cell survival, proliferation, and androgen receptor signaling. Anti‐CMV pharmaceutical compounds in clinical use inhibited cell expansion in prostate cancer models in vitro and in vivo, motivating investigation ...

Autonomous observations of biogenic N2 in the Eastern Tropical North Pacific using profiling floats equipped with gas tension devices

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science, 2023
Oxygen Deficient Zones (ODZs) of the world’s oceans represent a relatively small fraction of the ocean by volume (<0.05% for suboxic and<5% for hypoxic) yet are receiving increased attention by experimentalists and modelers due to their importance ...

The role of argon in stroke [PDF]

open access: yesMedical Gas Research, 2018
Stroke, also known as "cerebrovascular accident", is an acute cerebrovascular disease that is caused by a sudden rupture of blood vessels in the brain or obstruction of the blood supply by blockage of blood vessels, thus including hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes.

RKIP overexpression reduces lung adenocarcinoma aggressiveness and sensitizes cells to EGFR‐targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RKIP, a metastasis suppressor protein, modulates key oncogenic pathways in lung adenocarcinoma. In silico analyses linked low RKIP expression to poor survival. Functional studies revealed RKIP overexpression reduces tumor aggressiveness and enhances sensitivity to EGFR‐targeted therapies, while its loss promotes resistance.

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Carrier properties of B atomic-layer-doped Si films grown by ECR Ar plasma-enhanced CVD without substrate heating

open access: yesScience and Technology of Advanced Materials, 2017
The atomic-layer (AL) doping technique in epitaxy has attracted attention as a low-resistive ultrathin semiconductor film as well as a two-dimensional (2-D) carrier transport system.

Effects of nitrogen gas flushing in comparison with argon on rumen fermentation characteristics in in vitro studies

open access: yesJournal of Animal Science and Technology, 2020
In rumen in vitro experiments, although nitrogen gas (N2) flushing has been widely used, its effects on rumen fermentation characteristics are not clearly determined.
