Quasi delay insensitive implementation of approximate multiplication
Asynchronous quasi delay insensitive (QDI) implementation of approximate multiplication is described in this article. We consider the array multiplier architecture for a QDI implementation.

Boolean circuits versus arithmetic circuits
The authors compare the two computational models of Boolean circuits and arithmetic circuits for the computation of polynomials over the rationals and over finite fields. In the case of finite fields separate treatments are given for the cases of large and small characteristics.

Equivalent realisation circuit for a class of non-ideal voltage-controlled memristors
In this study, an equivalent realisation circuit with off-the-shelf components and devices is proposed, which can be used to equivalently implement a class of non-ideal voltage-controlled memristors.

Arithmetic Circuits in Unipolar Format for Stochastic Computing (SC)
Stochastic Computing (SC) is a computational technique that executes arithmetic operations on a random bitstream basis. Traditionally, stochastic arithmetic circuits are found according to probability equations, however not all arithmetic operations can ...

Causal Unit Selection using Tractable Arithmetic Circuits
The unit selection problem aims to find objects, called units, that optimize a causal objective function which describes the objects' behavior in a causal context (e.g., selecting customers who are about to churn but would most likely change their mind ...

Signature and Residue Testing of Microprogrammable Control Units
Arithmetic and algebraic codes are used in testing to verify arithmetic and logical operations performed by digital circuits. An important unit of the hardware that implements arithmetic codes is a residue generator.

This work prototypes a carbon nanotube‐based analog tensor core that performs in‐memory, parallel visual processing. Integrating non‐volatile memories and compact circuits, the core enables high‐speed analog matrix multiplications and can demonstrate accurate three dimensional (3D) spatial transformation and edge detection. With lightweight design, the

High-Speed and Energy-Efficient Carry Look-Ahead Adder
The carry look-ahead adder (CLA) is well known among the family of high-speed adders. However, a conventional CLA is not faster than other high-speed adders such as a conditional sum adder (CSA), a carry-select adder (CSLA), and the Kogge–Stone adder ...
