Proteomic Signatures of Ectopic Fat Distribution: Tissue‐Specific Drivers and Clinical Implications
Integration of plasma proteomics and multi‐organ MRI in 666 UK Biobank participants, combined with a knockoff‐based causal inference and machine learning framework, reveals organ‐specific drivers of ectopic fat: PLA2G1B (pancreas), ERBB2/IGFBP2 (liver), CA14 (muscle), and NCAM2/TNFRSF10B (pericardium). These drivers engage distinct pathways (e.g., PI3K‐

Block-encoding structured matrices for data input in quantum computing [PDF]
The cost of data input can dominate the run-time of quantum algorithms. Here, we consider data input of arithmetically structured matrices via $\textit{block encoding}$ circuits, the input model for the quantum singular value transform and related ...

This study presents a fast and accurate calculation tool to predict conveying of polymer melts in single‐screw extruders. Integrating generalized sub‐models into network theory allows to represent the complex screw shapes and material behavior more realistically. Tests on an industrial extruder show close agreement with experiments, outperforming older

Non-commutative arithmetic circuits with division
Summary: We initiate the study of the complexity of arithmetic circuits with division gates over non-commuting variables. Such circuits and formulae compute \textit{non-commutative} rational functions, which, despite their name, can no longer be expressed as ratios of polynomials.

A phase‐inversion constructed Mo2C@NC microreactor activates the intrinsic catalysis of nitrogen‐doped carbon via interfacial electron redistribution. Strong charge transfer to pyridinic N optimizes the p‐band center, enabling efficient lithium polysulfide adsorption, fast redox kinetics, and long‐term stable, high‐rate Li–S battery performance ...
