On TC0, AC0, and Arithmetic Circuits

open access: yesJournal of Computer and System Sciences, 2000
AbstractContinuing a line of investigation that has studied the function classes #P, #SAC1, #L, and #NC1, we study the class of functions #AC0. One way to define #AC0 is as the class of functions computed by constant-depth polynomial-size arithmetic circuits of unbounded fan-in addition and multiplication gates.

RAM, DEMUX and ALU in nanoscale: a quantum-dot cellular automata-based architecture

open access: yesDiscover Electronics
Quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) is incipient as a groundbreaking substitution to conventional CMOS archetype for nanoscale logic circuit design. Unlike transistor-based approaches, QCA uses cell polarization to achieve high-density, low-power digital

Materials and Music: Selective Imperfection as a Generative Framework for Analysis, Creativity and Discovery

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Materials, EarlyView.
Vibrations in matter, from spider webs to molecules, water to flames, share a grammar with music. We propose that creativity emerges when constraints force expansion beyond existing possibilities. Selective imperfection restores balance, enabling invention.

Efficient Majority Logic Parallel-Prefix Adder Design

open access: yesIEEE Access
Emerging beyond CMOS technologies such as quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA), resistive RAM crossbars, spin-torque devices, and single-electron transistors implement only the three-input majority gate (MG) and the inverter as primitive operations ...

Power analysis data set for 4-Bit MOCLA adder

open access: yesData in Brief, 2018
In order to reduce the silicon area of the chip and optimize the power of arithmetic circuits, this paper proposes a low power carry look-ahead BCD (Binary Coded Decimal) adder which uses a four bit MOCLA (Multiplexer and Or gate based Carry Look Ahead ...
