The Serotonin 2B (5‐HT2B) Receptor: A Narrative Review of Preclinical and Clinical Evidence on the Safety Considerations and Therapeutic Potential for the Treatment of Depression

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Major depressive disorder (MDD) and treatment‐resistant depression (TRD) remain leading causes of disability, providing the impetus for receptor‐level treatment strategies beyond monoamine reuptake. The serotonin 5‐HT2B receptor (5‐HT2BR) is uniquely positioned at the interface of central‐antidepressant mechanisms and peripheral cardiac risks.

Attentional negativity bias moderated by positive mood arousal

open access: yes, 2010
Automatically allocation of more attention to negative stimuli is called emotional negativity bias. An event-related potentials (ERPs) experiment investigated whether or not this bias was altered by positive mood arousal.

From Corporate Social Responsibility to Organizational Resilience: The Role of Sustainability Control Systems and Governance Heterogeneity

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has increasingly been recognized as a strategic lever for enhancing organizational resilience. Although CSR literature is abundant, prior research has not fully explained how distinct CSR types, such as altruistic, promotional, and value‐creating, influence organizational resilience through sustainability ...

Dissociable Modulation of Overt Visual Attention in Valence and Arousal Revealed by Topology of Scan Path

open access: yes, 2011
Emotional stimuli have evolutionary significance for the survival of organisms; therefore, they are attention-grabbing and are processed preferentially. The neural underpinnings of two principle emotional dimensions in affective space, valence (degree of

Competitive Cationic Adsorption‐Driven Dynamic Electrostatic Shielding Enables Ultra‐Stable Zn Metal Anodes

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This study investigates the dynamic electrostatic shielding effect driven by competitive cation adsorption and its role in stabilizing zinc anodes for aqueous zinc metal batteries. The preferential adsorption of R+ cations, particularly K+, effectively rearranges the inner Helmholtz layer, modulates the electric field distribution, and weakens zinc ...

Unlocking Ammonium‐Ion Storage Capability of MoS2 via Synergistic Molecular Engineering Strategies

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
The multiple molecular engineering strategies are simultaneously adopted to endow MoS2 with expanded interlayer distance, abundant active sites and strengthened structural stability. Benefitting from the synergistic effects of phase engineering, doping engineering, and structural engineering strategies, the proposed 1T‐O‐MoS2@HCSs exhibits ...

Towards Transformative Climate Governance: Capacities and Constraints for Local Government in Aotearoa New Zealand

open access: yesEnvironmental Policy and Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT An emerging consensus calls for transformative climate governance. However, what instigates and sustains transformative pathways remains unclear. This study characterises the existence, quality and structural underpinnings of transformative governance capacities in local government climate change response in Aotearoa New Zealand, applying a ...

Association of COPD with adverse outcomes in heart failure patients with preserved ejection fraction

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 799-808, April 2025.
Abstract We performed a systematic review and meta‐analysis to detect the impact of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) on the prognosis of heart failure patients with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). We systematically screened eligible literature from three electronic databases, PubMed, EMBASE and Cochrane Library, up to April 2023.

Race‐Based Rejection Sensitivity and Intergroup Anxiety Across the Adult Lifespan: Examining Age, Cohort, and Period Effects Among Ethnic Majority and Minority Groups

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Social Psychology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Intergroup interactions are often fraught with fear of rejection and intergroup anxiety—emotional reactions that undermine efforts to build inclusive societies. The current research investigates how race‐based rejection sensitivity and intergroup anxiety evolve across the adult lifespan.
