Design of a 2D sparse array transducer for integration into an ergonomic transcranial ultrasound system [PDF]
Transcranial Doppler Ultrasound (TCD) is one of the techniques that have been used for stroke diagnosis. This paper compares the potential of three aperiodic sparse array configurations: random array; sunflower spiral array; and log spiral array for ...

To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Short-range Radar Detection with (M, N)-Coprime Array Configurations
An (M, N)-coprime array comprises two well-organized subarrays: an M-element and an N-element. This sparse array configuration is capable of resolving a number of remote sources up to O(MN) solely with the use of an M + N – 1 sensors, which allows the ...

Improved circularly polarized antenna [PDF]
Antenna includes two sets of linearly polarized elements. Each set contains slots in parallel array. Sets are mutually orthogonal and are driven in phase quadrature. By changing lengths of slots or their separations, antenna beamwidth can be changed over

Some possible interpretations from data of the CODALEMA experiment [PDF]
The purpose of the CODALEMA experiment, installed at the Nan\c{c}ay Radio Observatory (France), is to study the radio-detection of ultra-high energy cosmic rays in the energy range of $10^{16}-10^{18} eV$.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Air gap influence on the vibro-acoustic response of Solar Arrays during launch [PDF]
One of the primary elements on the space missions is the electrical power subsystem, for which the critical component is the solar array. The behaviour of these elements during the ascent phase of the launch is critical for avoiding damages on the ...

Quantum Transport in an Array of Mesoscopic Rings: Effect of Interface Geometry
Electron transport properties are investigated in an array of mesoscopic rings, where each ring is threaded by a magnetic flux $\phi$. The array is attached to two semi-infinite one-dimensional metallic electrodes, namely, source and drain, where the ...
