Considering Zero-Arrival Time and Block-Arrival Time in Hierarchical Functional Timing Analysis
2006Timing analysis of complex state-of-the-art designs demands efficient algorithms able to cope with design complexity. Exploring the hierarchical information generally encountered in complex designs became mandatory to perform functional timing analysis (FTA) in acceptable execution times.

Regulated Competition: The Time Has Arrived
Journal of Public Health Policy, 1988I 5 choice" proposal in a book entitled Health Plan: The 6' Only Practical Solution to the Soaring Cost of Medical k s Care (z). In the meantime, there has been wide acceptance of health care market strategies as well as tremendous growth in Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs); but there has been very little done to promote "socially desirable ...

Arrival time in a child care center is a significant transitional period. The environment that greets children as they enter the center may influence how they respond to separating from a parent and spending many hours in the center. Teachers can make the transition easier for children by providing an environment that supports the individual needs of ...

The Emergicenter: Has its Time Arrived?
Law, Medicine and Health Care, 1983Skyrocketing health care costs are endemic during inflationary periods, affecting not only health care consumers, but also health care providers. Virtually all governmental policymakers recognize spiraling health care costs, but hospital costs continue to escalate faster than the general rate of inflation.

Age differences in estimating arrival-time
Neuroscience Letters, 2004The present study examined the accuracy in extrapolating an occluded trajectory in relation to observer age. Adults and children aged 7, 10, and 13 were tested in a prediction-motion task which consisted of judging, after the occlusion of the final part of its path, the moment of arrival of a moving stimulus towards a specified position. Results showed

First Time Arrivals Tomography
72nd EAGE Conference and Exhibition incorporating SPE EUROPEC 2010, 2010The tomography consists on detecting the variation of the accoustic waves velocity in the formation in the near subsurface. Within this work, we established a new algorithm of first time arrivals tomography that considers the advances in the IT domain and meets the expectations of geologists and geophysicists in term of ease of parametrization.

For over 90 years, researchers and clinicians have worked on systems to noninvasively measure pulse wave velocity, with the ultimate goal of measuring continuous, cuffless blood-pressure. The design of multisensor systems to make two or more measurements of the pulse wave along the human arterial tree has become the hallmark of these efforts.

Time of arrival and Time Sum of arrival based NLOS identification and localization
2012 IEEE 14th International Conference on Communication Technology, 2012Non-Line of Sight (NLOS) error due to the blockage of direct paths has been considered as the major problem in the wireless localization. Therefore, this paper studies the influence on different algorithms caused by the same NLOS error in order to identify LOS base stations (BS) from NLOS BS. Specifically, Time of Arrival (TOA) based algorithm and Time

For a radiolocation system the position of an object is determined using some characteristic of the radio frequency signal. These characteristics could include the signal strength, the signal phase (for angle of arrival measurements) or the propagation time-of-flight (TOF) from the transmitter to the receive.

Predicting Shuttle Arrival Time in Istanbul
2019Nowadays, transportation companies look for smart solutions in order to improve quality of their services. Accordingly, an intercity bus company in Istanbul aims to improve their shuttle schedules. This paper proposes revising scheduling of the shuttles based on their estimated travel time in the given timeline.
