To start, I summarize my method concretely, by way of a few more brief lesson-scenarios; then I summarize my method more abstractly, explaining the syntheses I have tried to accomplish; then I address the ideological ramifications of my approach and some potential critiques; I finish with one last musical example, giving Beethoven the last word.

Reflections on drawings in art pedagogy and art therapy
Visual Inquiry, 2013Drawing is a highly subjective means of self-expression in which personal content is revealed. In art education and art therapy, reflection on drawings influences the motivations of students and clients. I have collected evaluative and non-evaluative forms of reflection from the fields of both art pedagogy and art therapy.
