Hand range of motion evaluation for Rheumatoid Arthritis patients [PDF]
We introduce a framework for dynamic evaluation of the fingers movements: flexion, extension, abduction and adduction. This framework estimates angle measurements from joints computed by a hand pose estimation algorithm using a depth sensor (Realsense SR300).

This study develops itaconate‐based polymer microparticles (IA‐MPs) for macrophage‐targeted intracellular delivery, overcoming the limitations of traditional itaconate administration. IA‐MPs achieve controlled release through phagocytosis, reducing pro‐inflammatory cytokine expression and reprogramming macrophage metabolism toward glycolysis.

Abstract Background Patients with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) may have persistence of polyps, discharge, or edema after endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS). Inflammation in CRS can be classified into three endotypes, with the presence of polyps associated with the type 2 endotype.

Abstract Background Sinus surgery removes inflamed tissue, restores airflow, and improves delivery of medication into surgically opened spaces. The exhalation delivery system with fluticasone (EDS‐FLU; XHANCE®) uses a novel delivery system to create closed‐palate, positive‐pressure, bidirectional mechanics that significantly alter the deposition of the

Blockade of ZMIZ1‐GATA4 Axis Regulation Restores Youthfulness to Aged Cartilage
The blockade of ZMIZ1‐GATA axis can be an effective therapeutic approach for treating OA. Functional inhibition of the ZMIZ1‐GATA axis through K‐7174 has the effect of suppressing cartilage damage and cellular senescence at the chondrocyte and cartilage tissue levels.

Across and beyond the cell are peptide strings [PDF]
Until presently, most approaches for understanding physiological or pathological phenomena have been based on the assumption that these processes start from individual cells, a concept introduced primarily by Virchow in the 19th century. Yet, it has also been increasingly recognized that this perception is insufficient, at least when it comes to ...

This study elucidates the crosstalk between tumor‐associated macrophages (TAMs) and anaplastic thyroid cancer stem cells (ATCSCs). The findings reveal that CCL20 from THP‐1‐M2 activates the IRAK‐1/NF‐κB1/2 pathway in ATCSCs, thereby enhancing CXCL5 secretion.

Hengqin-RA-v1: Advanced Large Language Model for Diagnosis and Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis with Dataset based Traditional Chinese Medicine [PDF]
Large language models (LLMs) primarily trained on English texts, often face biases and inaccuracies in Chinese contexts. Their limitations are pronounced in fields like Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), where cultural and clinical subtleties are vital, further hindered by a lack of domain-specific data, such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
