Potential Prognostic Immune Biomarkers of Overall Survival in Ovarian Cancer Through Comprehensive Bioinformatics Analysis: A Novel Artificial Intelligence Survival Prediction System

open access: yesFrontiers in Medicine, 2021
Background: The tumour immune microenvironment plays an important role in the biological mechanisms of tumorigenesis and progression. Artificial intelligence medicine studies based on big data and advanced algorithms are helpful for improving the ...

Molecular cancer prevention: Intercepting disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Oncological practice must evolve, from treating established tumours to proactive cancer interception before clinical manifestation. This will require mechanistic insight into tumour initiation, validated biomarkers of early disease development and redesigned clinical trials, enabling cancer interception to become a core pillar of oncology with the ...

Application of Artificial Immune System Approach in MRI Classification

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2008
Numerous scholars have submitted the theory and research of artificial immune systems (AISs) in recent years. Although AIS has been used in various fields, applying the AIS to medical images is very rare.

Artificial immune system agent model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The Artificial Immune Systems (AIS) is a biologically inspired techniques that emulates a natural system, in particular the vertebrate immune system, in order to develop computational tools for solving engineering problems.Immunity-based technique emerge

Digital twins to accelerate target identification and drug development for immune‐mediated disorders

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Digital twins integrate patient‐derived molecular and clinical data into personalised computational models that simulate disease mechanisms. They enable rapid identification and validation of therapeutic targets, prediction of drug responses, and prioritisation of candidate interventions.

Identifying transcription factors controlling the basal expression of human MRP4 highlights a substantial role for Sp1

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

An Artificial Immune System Based Recommender [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The immune system is a complex biological system with a highly distributed, adaptive and self-organising nature. This paper presents an artificial immune system (AIS) that exploits some of these characteristics and is applied to the task of film ...
